These are screenshots of some sample 2D applications written in 2009, and utilizing the SDL graphics API.
Fig. 1 shows an application with 2D platformer behavior, giving the player control of a spritesheet-animated character affected by gravity and ground collisions. Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 are screenshots from another application, meant to test an animated clouds or mist effect brought about by overlaying semi-transparent textures of mist and applying parallax scrolling.
